We just had our one-year anniversary living here. Before moving to Singapore we were in Brussels, Belgium for four-and-a-half years. I started this blog on March 12, 2010. I update it several times a week. Living in an Asian country, where the culture is so different, every week is an adventure and I love to blog about.
The hubby has SE Asia as his region, and we travel frequently. I go everywhere with him taking photos and blogging about our adventures on our travel blog, Donald and Cathy's World Adventures, you can see a recap of 2010, 2011, 2012. I have been writing this blog since 2008. His region when we lived in Belgium was Europe, Africa, and the Middle East; so if you hop over to this blog you can read all about those regions.
But for the next two years the focus in on Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. We have visited 49 countries so far....my goal was to make 50 by 50 and I am pretty sure I will make this!
Right now I am in #49 - Myanmar (Burma) : )
I am an artist and I love to create altered art - collages & jewelry. I have several pieces of art published in the Stampington family of magazines. I am an avid photographer and have been know to take 6000 photos on a one-week trip. The photo below recently won runner up in a contest.
Photoshop is one of my favorite toys. But I still have so much to learn about this software program.
I am also a shopper and I love to find unique items for my art when I travel. I miss the flea markets of Europe.
But Asia has some unique treasures as well!
This blog is about my life as an expat. What is it like to live in Singapore, Asian cultures and traditions, art, food, travel, everything I love! I post several times a week and I love to chat with my readers so please leave me a message.

Hi Cathy! Wow what a life you lead! I would love to do this myself as I love adventures. Would you believe I have never been out of the Country (the US) well except for that time I went to Miami? LOL
I joined the blog hop too! I still have to write my blog post for it, believe me, it won't be anything quite as exciting as yours!

How I envy your travels! Still, I too have lived in an Asian country (a total of almost 2 years in Taiwan), even though I can only rack up 19 countries visited. =)

How neat! I lived in South Korea for a summer and it will always be one of my most treasured times. I love to read about others' travel. :)
