Fabric and colors for the new art room!

 

The Fabric

 

I found this fabric on a great site called fabric.com.  It is designed by Michael Miller and is part of the French Journal Collection.  I have been looking for fabric since we arrived in Singapore, both in stores and on-line.  I thought I wanted an Asian print - but nothing was jumping out at me....until this!  Yes, remnants of a French theme - that I swore I was going to stay away from - but it also has a touch of tropical with the birds and colors.  And so me with the "collage" design!

I created this cool color palette using the instructions on Brandi girl's fun blog.   I will keep the walls white and use one of the colors from the color palette to paint a 16 inch border at the top of the wall.  There is a natural border created from the drop ceiling.  I hope the fabric arrives soon!

And the BIG news is.....all of our household goods arrived this morning!  Yeah - all my art supplies.  Will take me days to unpack but everything arrived safe and sound.

Yipee on the home goods and especially the art supplies arriving!!
Where are you using the fabric? Curtains? Upholstery? It is beautiful.

Thanks for the link to Brandi Girl Blog. I love the color palette instructions and plan to try it.
